# Brokers That Connect to TradingView for Automated Trading

The brokers that connect to TradingView for [automated trading](https://pickmytrade.io "PickMyTrade - Automated Trading") through PickMyTrade, a TradingView-to-broker trade automation platform, are Tradovate, Rithmic, Interactive Brokers, TradeStation, ProjectX, Ironbeam, Match-Trader, TradeLocker, cTrader and Tradier. That makes ten. MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, dxTrade and NinjaTrader don’t connect, and no setting changes that.

TradingView connects to none of them for automation: it can send an alert but can’t place the order. So a bridge has to sit in the middle. Tradovate lives on pickmytrade.trade, and every other platform on the list lives on pickmytrade.io.

If your account comes from a prop firm, the platform the firm hands you decides whether a connection is possible. The firm’s rulebook then decides whether you’re allowed to use it. We rechecked every entry against the live sites and each firm’s own pages on September 24, 2026, and a few answers changed this month.

> **Key Takeaways**
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
> - Ten platforms connect: Tradovate on pickmytrade.trade and nine on pickmytrade.io, three of them in Beta.
> - TradingView can’t place live orders from a strategy, so a webhook bridge has to.
> - ProjectX now means TopstepX. Bulenox, MetaTrader, dxTrade and NinjaTrader don’t connect.
> - One subscription covers one broker connection, and the free trial lasts 7 days.

_Editorial note: PickMyTrade isn’t affiliated with any broker or prop firm named here. We checked the list, the app and each firm’s rules on September 24, 2026, and we update this page when a connection changes._

## Which Brokers Connect to TradingView for Automated Trading? {#which-brokers-connect-to-tradingview-for-automated-trading}

Ten broker platforms connect: Tradovate, Rithmic, Interactive Brokers, TradeStation, ProjectX, Ironbeam, Match-Trader, TradeLocker, cTrader and Tradier. Nine sit in the pickmytrade.io app, and three of those carry a Beta label. Tradovate is the exception, and the .io app sends you to pickmytrade.trade when you pick it.

A **broker connection** is one login at one broker or platform that PickMyTrade can trade through, such as one Rithmic user ID or one IBKR login. Every row in the table is one of those.

We analyzed the app’s public code on September 24, 2026 to build the last column. The form fields reflect what’s deployed today, not what an older guide or screenshot shows.

| Platform | Trades | Site | Login asks for |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Tradovate | Futures | .trade | Tradovate username and password |
| Rithmic | Futures | .io | Username, password, system |
| Interactive Brokers | Stocks, futures, options | .io | TWS login in a desktop app |
| TradeStation | Stocks, options, futures | .io | Username, then a login redirect |
| ProjectX (TopstepX) | Futures | .io | Email and API key |
| Ironbeam (Beta) | Futures | .io | Username, password, API key |
| Match-Trader | Forex, CFDs | .io | Username, password, optional URL |
| TradeLocker | Forex, CFDs | .io | Username, password, server |
| cTrader (Beta) | Forex, CFDs | .io | Browser consent |
| Tradier (Beta) | Stocks, options | .io | Browser login or API key |

The Site column shows which site hosts the connection. The two sites are separate apps with separate accounts, so a .trade signup doesn’t carry over to .io.

Binance and Bybit connection forms also exist in the app, but they aren’t marketed, and this guide leaves them out. The [broker index](https://pickmytrade.io/broker/) lists a setup guide for each platform above.

## Do Brokers That Connect to TradingView Place Orders Automatically? {#do-brokers-that-connect-to-tradingview-place-orders-automatically}

No: TradingView’s broker panel takes manual clicks, and its strategies are limited to backtesting. So none of the ten can receive a live order straight from a strategy. Automation runs on a webhook: TradingView posts the alert to a URL, and a bridge turns it into an order at your broker.

Why do so many traders assume a broker on TradingView’s list can automate? The panel looks the part, with a Trade button under every chart and fills that show up in your account.

Tradovate, TradeStation and Interactive Brokers all sit in that panel, and Rithmic doesn’t. NinjaTrader is in it too, but its link routes hand-placed orders only, so a spot on TradingView’s broker list says nothing about automation.

| Feature | Native broker panel | Webhook bridge |
| --- | --- | --- |
| What places the order | Your click on a chart | An alert firing |
| Pine strategies | Backtest only | Alerts can drive live orders |
| Your computer | Open and logged in | Can be off, except for Interactive Brokers |
| Brokers | The ones TradingView lists | The 10 in this guide |
| TradingView side | A broker login | Paid plan, 2FA and a webhook URL |

How a TradingView alert becomes a live order
 Four steps from the alert to the fill, with the manual-only TradingView broker panel shown as a dead end for automation.

 2. PickMyTrade, the cloud bridge

 3. Your broker connection

 4. Order at your broker

 TradingView's own broker panel
 Manual clicks only. Strategy trading stays backtest-only.

An alert becomes an order only when a bridge holds your broker connection.
*An alert becomes an order only when a bridge holds your broker connection.*

A **webhook** is a web request that TradingView sends to a URL you choose the moment an alert fires. PickMyTrade gives each alert its own URL and a JSON message, and that message tells the bridge which symbol, direction and size to trade.

TradingView sets four conditions on its side, and no bridge can waive them:

- A paid plan, since webhook notifications start at Essential and the free Basic plan doesn’t include them.
- Two-factor authentication on your TradingView account.
- A webhook URL on port 80 or 443, because TradingView rejects requests to any other port.
- A server that answers within three seconds.

A bridge does the rest: it holds your broker login, receives the alert and places the order.

## Tradovate, Rithmic and Ironbeam: Connecting the Futures Brokers {#tradovate-rithmic-and-ironbeam-connecting-the-futures-brokers}

Three futures connections use three different logins. Tradovate takes your Tradovate username and password on pickmytrade.trade, Rithmic takes a username, a password and a system name, and Ironbeam needs an API key that you request from Ironbeam first. All three reach CME futures accounts.

### Tradovate lives on pickmytrade.trade {#tradovate-lives-on-pickmytrade-trade}

Pick Tradovate in the .io app and a dialog titled “Tradovate is on PickMyTrade.trade” offers to redirect you. Register on the .trade site instead, with its own separate account, then connect with your Tradovate username and password. You don’t generate an API key, and you don’t need Tradovate’s own API add-on.

That path also covers prop firms that hand out Tradovate logins, and demo accounts connect the same way as live ones. The setup steps live on the .trade site.

### Rithmic needs a system name, not an API key {#rithmic-needs-a-system-name-not-an-api-key}

Rithmic connects with a username, a password and a system name picked from a list. A **system name** is the label of the Rithmic trading system your account lives on, such as Rithmic Paper Trading or the system your firm assigns. It doesn’t use an API key, and any guide that tells you to generate one is describing a different broker.

We counted 28 system names in that list on September 24, including Apex, Tradeify, LucidTrading, TopstepTrader, Earn2Trade and Tradesea. Which one do you pick? The one your firm’s welcome email names, because a wrong system name is a usual reason a logon fails.

Two limits apply. Bulenox isn’t supported through the Rithmic connection, and Rithmic’s R|Protocol API also rejects temporary demo or trial user IDs, so you need a live or otherwise eligible ID. Both limits are spelled out in the [Rithmic setup guide](https://docs.pickmytrade.io/docs/pickmytrade-rithmic-setup/), and the [Rithmic errors guide](https://blog.pickmytrade.io/rithmic-connection-errors-complete-troubleshooting-guide/) covers the logon failures.

### Ironbeam needs an API key first {#ironbeam-needs-an-api-key-first}

Ironbeam is a futures broker with direct market access, and its connection asks for an environment, a username, an API key and a password. The API key isn’t instant: you request it through a form on Ironbeam’s site, and approval typically takes one to three business days.

Request it before you plan a launch date. The [setup guide](https://docs.pickmytrade.io/docs/connect-ironbeam-with-pickmytrade-easy-setup-guide/) walks through the request form.

## What Does the ProjectX Connection Cover Now? {#what-does-the-projectx-connection-cover-now}

The ProjectX connection now covers one firm: Topstep. ProjectX ended third-party licensing on February 28, 2026, and the app’s ProjectX form now offers a single fixed firm: TopStepX. You connect with your Topstep login email and an API key generated in TopstepX.

 The app's ProjectX form offers one fixed firm value: TopStepX.

*A firm name in a dropdown never proved the firm still ran on ProjectX.*

### ProjectX now means TopstepX {#projectx-now-means-topstepx}

Before 2026, ProjectX powered the platforms at Bulenox, Tradeify, Lucid Trading, Alpha Futures, Phidias and TradeDay. Do those firms still run on ProjectX? No: they have since rebuilt on Tradovate or Rithmic, yet a search for “Tradeify ProjectX” still turns up outdated guides.

We analyzed the app’s public code on September 24 and found one locked value in the ProjectX firm field: TopStepX. If an older guide or screenshot shows a longer dropdown, treat it as out of date. A firm’s name in a dropdown never proved the firm still ran on ProjectX.

TopstepX API access is a separate purchase, billed by ProjectX at $29 a month or $14.50 with the code `topstep`. You generate the key in TopstepX under Settings, then API, and the [Topstep API guide](https://docs.pickmytrade.io/docs/connect-projectx-to-topstep-api/) walks through each step.

### The Topstep rules that decide whether you should {#the-topstep-rules-that-decide-whether-you-should}

Topstep’s rules allow custom bots through the ProjectX API in Trading Combine and Express Funded accounts, with conditions. High-frequency trading is banned and API orders are final.

Topstep doesn’t support or troubleshoot your tool. Live Funded Accounts can’t use the API at all, because the API Gateway isn’t available on Live.

Topstep requires all trading activity to originate from your personal device and prohibits VPS, VPN and remote servers. Its rules don’t address a cloud webhook relay, so get Topstep support’s written answer before automating a funded account. For the no-code route in more depth, read the [TopstepX automation guide](https://blog.pickmytrade.io/topstepx-automation-2026/).

## Interactive Brokers, TradeStation and Tradier: Connecting Stocks and Options {#interactive-brokers-tradestation-and-tradier-connecting-stocks-and-options}

Three connections cover stocks and options. Interactive Brokers also trades futures, TradeStation trades stocks, options and futures, and Tradier trades stocks and options. Only Interactive Brokers needs software running on your computer, while TradeStation and Tradier connect through a browser login.

### Interactive Brokers needs TWS running {#interactive-brokers-needs-tws-running}

Orders route through Trader Workstation or IB Gateway, so keep it open and logged in whenever you expect to trade. Beside it you run the PickMyTrade IB application on the same computer.

What if the laptop sleeps, or IBKR forces a re-login? The chain breaks while TradingView keeps firing alerts as if nothing happened.

IBKR adds its own schedule on top: TWS restarts daily and needs a manual login once a week. Turn on Auto restart so the daily restart skips the login, and put the weekly login on your calendar.

Each additional IB account needs its own connection slot, labeled IB2, IB3 and so on, plus its own TWS session and PickMyTrade IB window. Setup steps are on the [Interactive Brokers page](https://pickmytrade.io/broker/tradingview-to-ib/).

### TradeStation connects through its own login page {#tradestation-connects-through-its-own-login-page}

TradeStation is a direct web connection covering stocks, options and futures: you enter your TradeStation username and choose Sim or Live. The app then redirects you to TradeStation’s own site to log in and authorize the connection. No desktop software is involved.

Symbol formats differ between asset classes, so confirm that the ticker your alert sends is the one TradeStation recognizes. Alert setup steps are on the [TradeStation page](https://pickmytrade.io/broker/tradingview-to-tradestation/).

### Tradier is Beta and splits live from demo {#tradier-is-beta-and-splits-live-from-demo}

Tradier carries the Beta label. A live account connects through a redirect to Tradier’s login, while a demo account uses the sandbox API key from Tradier’s API Access page. Run the demo first, since the connection is newer, and follow the [Tradier setup guide](https://docs.pickmytrade.io/docs/connect-tradier-with-pickmytrade-easy-setup-guide/) for both paths.

## Where Does Forex Automation Connect Without MetaTrader? {#where-does-forex-automation-connect-without-metatrader}

Forex and CFD automation connects through three platforms: TradeLocker, Match-Trader and cTrader. TradeLocker asks for a username, password, environment and server. Match-Trader asks for a username, password and an optional platform URL, and cTrader sends you to a browser consent screen instead.

TradeLocker’s server name has to match the one on your broker’s login screen exactly. A mismatch is the most common reason a first attempt fails, and the environment must match your account, Demo or Live. Details are on the [TradeLocker page](https://pickmytrade.io/broker/tradingview-to-tradelocker/).

Match-Trader’s URL field is optional. Leave it blank for the default Match-Trader platform, and fill it in only if your firm runs its own instance. The [Match-Trader page](https://pickmytrade.io/broker/tradingview-to-matchtrader/) also covers copying one signal across several accounts.

cTrader connects to any cTrader broker: you log in on cTrader’s own page, press Grant Access for the account you’re connecting, then pick Demo or Live. The [setup guide](https://docs.pickmytrade.io/docs/connect-ctrader-with-pickmytrade-easy-setup-guide/) went up on August 18, 2026.

Firms that offer MT5, cTrader and TradeLocker side by side usually make you choose at purchase. Which of the three connects? TradeLocker and cTrader do, and MT5 doesn’t.

Check the firm’s rules on third-party access before you connect.

## Which Platforms Don’t Connect at All? {#which-platforms-dont-connect-at-all}

MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, dxTrade and NinjaTrader don’t connect to TradingView automation through PickMyTrade. We ran a search of the deployed app’s code for those names, plus MT4 and MT5, and found zero matches. No setting, plan or waitlist changes that.

BlackArrow and WealthCharts came back empty in the same search, so they join the list.

| Platform | What to do instead |
| --- | --- |
| MetaTrader 4 and 5 | Use TradeLocker or Match-Trader |
| dxTrade | Choose a broker on a supported platform |
| NinjaTrader | Connect over Tradovate or Rithmic |
| BlackArrow | No path exists |
| WealthCharts | Choose Tradovate or Rithmic |

For forex and CFDs, the working route is a broker or firm that offers TradeLocker or Match-Trader. That’s a change of broker rather than a change of settings, so budget for it before you buy a challenge.

Is NinjaTrader really a dead end? Not always: at firms such as Tradeify and Blue Guardian Futures it logs in with Tradovate credentials, and those connect. TradingView’s own NinjaTrader link routes hand-placed orders only.

If your account is reachable over Tradovate or Rithmic, connect over that and keep NinjaTrader for charting. The [platform comparison FAQ](https://pickmytrade.io/faq/platform-comparisons/) sets TradingView against NinjaTrader and MetaTrader side by side.

## Which Brokers Are on the Waitlist? {#which-brokers-are-on-the-waitlist}

The upcoming-brokers page lists 26 names on a waitlist as of September 24, and Tastytrade has an upcoming page of its own. A waitlist entry means you can register interest. It doesn’t mean an integration exists, and it comes with no date.

 Tastytrade has its own upcoming page and isn't counted here.

*A waitlist entry means you can register interest. It doesn't mean an integration exists.*

Only four of the 26 are futures brokers: AMP Global, AutoShares, Optimus Futures and StoneX. Fourteen are stock and options brokers, including Schwab, Fidelity and Moomoo, and six are forex and CFD brokers such as OANDA, Pepperstone and eToro. The list shows where demand sits, not what ships next.

If your broker is on the waitlist, should you wait for it? Not with a strategy you want live soon, because an entry carries no date. Check the [upcoming brokers list](https://pickmytrade.io/upcoming/brokers/) before you assume a name is live, because only a broker page proves a connection.

## For Prop Firms, the Platform Decides Whether You Can Connect {#for-prop-firms-the-platform-decides-whether-you-can-connect}

For prop firm accounts, the platform your firm hands you decides whether a connection exists. Rithmic, Tradovate and TopstepX connect, while BlackArrow, WealthCharts and Deepcharts don’t. The firm’s rulebook then decides whether you may automate, and only two of the five firms we checked allow bots, both with conditions.

| Firm | Platform | Connects? |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Apex Trader Funding | Rithmic, Tradovate or WealthCharts | Yes, on Rithmic or Tradovate |
| Topstep | TopstepX | Yes |
| Tradeify | Tradovate, Rithmic or WealthCharts | Yes, on Tradovate or Rithmic |
| Bulenox | Rithmic | No, unsupported |
| Blue Guardian Futures | Tradovate or Deepcharts | Yes, on Tradovate |
| The5%ers Futures | BlackArrow | No |

Firms like Tradeify and Apex make you pick the platform when you buy, and neither lets you switch later without buying a new account. If you get to choose, which platform is the safer pick? Tradovate, because it connects at every firm in the table that offers it, while Rithmic connects at most of them but not at Bulenox.

Does a working connection mean you may automate? No, and Apex shows why. Its User Agreement prohibits automated order entry on every account type.

The agreement allows four narrow exceptions. They are alert tools that place no orders, stop-loss and take-profit orders you set by hand at entry, charting software, and copying from an account you trade manually.

Topstep allows bots in Combine and Express accounts under the conditions above, and not on Live Funded Accounts. Tradeify allows personal bots you solely own, provided they aren’t high-frequency. Blue Guardian Futures bans bots and other fully automated trading on every account type, and The5%ers doesn’t support algorithmic trading.

Rules vary by firm and change often. Confirm your firm’s current policy before you automate anything. Treat any “approved by” claim from a vendor, including us, as marketing unless the firm itself lists the tool.

## How Many Broker Connections Does One Subscription Cover? {#how-many-broker-connections-does-one-subscription-cover}

One subscription covers one broker connection: one login at one broker, plus every sub-account under that login. A second login, broker or prop firm login is another connection, and an extra Rithmic connection costs $50 a month. The free trial lasts 7 days and needs no card.

In the app, a second connection appears as RITHMIC2 or IB2 on the payment page, with its own validity date. What counts as one login? One Rithmic user ID with five prop accounts is one connection, and two user IDs are two.

The [multiple-accounts guide](https://docs.pickmytrade.io/docs/connecting-multiple-interactive-brokers-ib-accounts-to-pickmytrade/) shows the purchase step for Interactive Brokers, and the same logic applies to the other brokers.

Count logins, not accounts, before you plan a multi-firm setup. A trader with a Rithmic prop account, a TopstepX account and a personal IBKR account needs three connections, however many sub-accounts sit under them.

The two sites are separate apps, so a Tradovate connection on pickmytrade.trade is set up on its own. Check the payment page on each site for the exact price of every extra connection.

## How Do You Check Your Own Broker in Five Minutes? {#how-do-you-check-your-own-broker-in-five-minutes}

Seven checks take about five minutes and settle the question before you pay. Work down the list in order and stop at the first no. Together they catch the four usual blockers: a platform that doesn’t connect, a firm that isn’t supported, a TradingView plan without webhooks, and a rulebook that bans bots.

1. Open your broker or firm portal and write down the exact platform name, not the firm’s brand name.
2. Match that name to the table near the top. Tradovate goes to pickmytrade.trade, and every other supported platform goes to pickmytrade.io.
3. If it’s MetaTrader, dxTrade, NinjaTrader, BlackArrow or WealthCharts, stop and check whether the account also has Tradovate or Rithmic credentials.
4. On Rithmic, open the system-name list in the app and confirm your firm is in it. Bulenox isn’t.
5. On Topstep, confirm you’re not on a Live Funded Account and that you’ll buy TopstepX API access.
6. Confirm your TradingView plan includes webhooks and that two-factor authentication is on.
7. Read your firm’s own rulebook on automated orders. Then start the 7-day free trial on a demo or practice account and place one test order.

## Frequently asked questions {#frequently-asked-questions}

**Which brokers connect to TradingView for automated [futures trading](https://pickmytrade.io/assets/futures/ "PickMyTrade - Futures Trading")?**

Six of the ten platforms trade futures: Tradovate, Rithmic, Interactive Brokers, TradeStation, ProjectX and Ironbeam. Tradier covers stocks and options, and Match-Trader, TradeLocker and cTrader cover forex and CFDs. MetaTrader, dxTrade and NinjaTrader don’t connect at all.

**Can I automate [TradingView alerts](https://pickmytrade.io "PickMyTrade - Automate TradingView") to MetaTrader 5?**

No, MetaTrader 5 isn’t a supported destination, and neither is MetaTrader 4, since the app contains no MetaTrader code. TradingView has no native order routing into either. Forex and CFD traders who want TradingView automation usually move to TradeLocker or Match-Trader, which are both supported.

**Is TopstepX a separate broker connection?**

No, TopstepX isn’t a separate connection. Its accounts connect through the ProjectX integration, where you enter your Topstep email and an API key from TopstepX, and the firm field holds one fixed value. The API key needs ProjectX API Access, which costs $29 a month, or $14.50 with the code `topstep`.

**Can I send TradingView trades to NinjaTrader?**

PickMyTrade can’t send trades to NinjaTrader, because it isn’t a destination and TradingView’s own NinjaTrader link only routes orders you place by hand. If your account also has Tradovate or Rithmic credentials, connect over those instead. At Tradeify and Blue Guardian Futures, NinjaTrader logs in with Tradovate credentials, so that route works.

**How many broker connections does one subscription cover?**

One subscription covers one broker connection, meaning one login at one broker and every sub-account under it. A second login, broker or prop firm login is another connection, and an extra Rithmic connection costs $50 a month. The free trial lasts 7 days and needs no card.

**What does the Beta label on cTrader, Tradier and Ironbeam mean?**

The app writes cTrader, Tradier and Ironbeam with a Beta suffix in its broker picker. They connect and place real orders. They’re newer than Tradovate or Rithmic and have less history behind them, so test each on a demo account first.

## The short version {#the-short-version}

The brokers that connect to TradingView come to 10, nine on pickmytrade.io and Tradovate on pickmytrade.trade, while MetaTrader, dxTrade and NinjaTrader don’t. The quickest check is also the most reliable: find the exact platform name your broker or firm gave you, then match it to the table. For a prop firm account, settle the platform first and the rulebook second.

Once you know which platform you have, [start the 7-day free trial](https://pickmytrade.io/) on a demo account and place one test order before you point live money at it. Questions about your setup?
